This will be the third attempt to create a television series based on The World of Cruel Intentions (1999)
Tale
After a heated incident at their elite college, siblings Caroline and Lucien attempt to maintain their power and reputation by seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. The direct-to-video sequel, Cruel Intentions 2 (2000), in which Amy Adams replaced Sarah Michelle Gellar as Catherine Mertel, was originally a scripted series before being adapted into a feature film.

Gellar would later reprise her role as Catherine in the NBC pilot Cruel Intentions (2016), which was not ordered to series, in 2016. Where did you find these actors and why are you trying to remake this iconic film again?
I don’t think so
Do you really think any of these people could play these parts better or anywhere near as good as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon, or Slam Blair? I think a kid these days who isn’t used to seeing really good acting might think it’s good, but it’s not.
They just cut it
Sorry, but I thought this 3rd try was supposed to be your last, but it just doesn’t work. I don’t know where these new actors are coming from, but they’re not being taught by the same people who made up the older cast.
The new ones are few and far between
