After a traumatic event during his residence, James Hayman (Namir Smallwood), a student of young medicine, will move to a rural hospital for a fresh start. Dr. Harrison (veteran phase and screen actor Michael Potts) observes that James has to fight and has difficulty communicating with patients, takes on a class that focuses on the bed and facilitates deeper relationships with patients. James’ earlier demons begin with him when he is consumed with mysterious symptoms by a young asthma patient (Sidney Flagan, who never always always). Its grip into reality begins to slide as his disturbing nightmares, the fear burning speculations and the physical injuries collide with the hard reality of the world of medicine. Director Alex Thompson combines a strong veteran character actor in his observation of the Holy Frances and Ghostlight in this humanistic and unusual genre.
