Katie, a freelance video editor in desperate need of work, receives a high-paying offer to edit a bizarre and cryptic video from an anonymous employer. Strapped for cash and facing eviction, Katie eagerly accepts the job. The video shows people being tortured and even killed on camera—surely it’s a carefully staged fiction. But when that first gig leads to even more lucrative work and even more disturbing and realistic horror films, Katie’s life begins to fall apart.
