A fictional miniseries based on the life of Ayrton Senna da Silva, the Brazilian racing legend who won the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship three times. The writers of this series said they had some restrictions due to Senna’s family’s involvement in the production. Senna’s early career races in England are shown on a track next to a mountain range. There are no mountains in England – especially Norfolk, which is known for its flat landscape. It’s quite obvious that the Senna-Da Silva family has a hand in this, and very strictly so.
It’s boring and superficial
He is always kind and gentle and puts up with everything that is done to him. There is no conflict, except with Prost and Balestre. The dialogue is so incredibly flat that any daily soap is literature by comparison. I want to be first. He is the best.
But it’s dangerous!
I am the fastest. I want to win. But I want to win. But you already won. But I want to win again.
Didn’t he have vices?
What about Senna’s female stories? That would have had potential. There are no such people. But when his mother gets involved in writing the script… His parents also turn out to be saints.
Yes, of course
Always understanding, always patient, kind, indulgent and noble. The action shots, however, are first-rate. Not exactly groundbreaking, but very impressive. The sound design in particular was great.
